Daniel Polsley

Daniel Haymond Polsley (28 November 1803-14 October 1877) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-WV 3) from 4 March 1867 to 3 March 1869, succeeding Kellian Whaley and preceding John Witcher.

Biography[]

Daniel Haymond Polsley was born in Fairmont, West Virginia in 1803, and he became a lawyer in Wellsburg in 1827, edited the Western Transcript from 1833 to 1845, served in the State Senate from 1861 to 1863, as a circuit court judge from 1863 to 1866, and in the US House of Representatives from 1867 to 1869 before dying in 1877.
