Daniel Newton Lockwood (1 June 1841-1 June 1906) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 32) from 4 March 1877 to 3 March 1879 (succeeding Lyman K. Bass and preceding Ray V. Pierce) and from 4 March 1891 to 3 March 1895 (succeeding John M. Farquhar and preceding Rowland B. Mahany).

Biography[]

Daniel Newton Lockwood was born in Hamburg, New York in 1841, a relative of Buffalo mayor Timothy T. Lockwood. He practiced law in Buffalo before serving as Erie County district attorney from 1875 to 1877, in the US House of Representatives from 1877 to 1879 and from 1891 to 1895, as US Attorney for the Northern District of New York from 1886 to 1889, and as a private businessman. He died in 1906.
