Daniel Marshall (1957-1985) was an American security guard working at the Sherman Oaks Galleria in 1985. He accompanied Andy Cates as he confronted John Matrix under the suspicion of him being a kidnapper. After Cates attempted to bring Matrix in, Cates was punched in the gut and pushed into Marshall, knocking the two of them over. After getting back up, Marshall attempted to swing his fast but was evaded by Matrix, who punched him in the face.
Getting back up, Marshall and eight other guards rushed Matrix and attempted to subdue him after he threw a phone booth containing David Sully over his back, only for Matrix to throw off the entire group in an impressive feat of strength. Matrix threw Cates over his shoulder and into Marshall and three other guards, knocking them down yet again. He did the same tactic to Andre Biggs, bringing Marshall and four other guards down again.
As he got up, Sully accidentally shot Marshall in the stomach as the mercenary ran away. Marshall died in the local hospital later from blood loss.
