Daniel Johnson Morrell (8 August 1821-20 August 1885) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-PA 17) from 4 March 1867 to 3 March 1871, succeeding Abraham Andrews Barker and preceding Robert Milton Speer.
Biography[]
Daniel Johnson Morrell was born in North Berwick, York County, Maine in 1821, and he moved to Philadelphia in 1836 and to Johnstown in 1855, becoming the general manager of an iron company. He went on to serve as a bank president from 1863 to 1884, on the city council, and in the US House of Representatives from 1867 to 1871. He died in 1885.
