
Daniel Avery (18 September 1766-30 January 1842) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NY 14) from 4 March 1811 to 3 March 1815 (succeeding Vincent Mathews and preceding Enos T. Throop) and from NY-20 from 30 September 1816 to 3 March 1817 (succeeding Throop and preceding Daniel Cruger).
Biography[]
Daniel Avery was born in Groton, Connecticut in 1766, and he moved to Aurora, Cayuga County, New York in 1795. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1811 to 1815 and from 1816, and he worked with the Albany land office for 20 years. He died in 1842.
