Dandelion (1229-) was a Polish chronicler and bard during the 13th century. His writings were mostly focused on Slavic mythology, and the protagonist of his works was Geralt of Rivia, a "witcher" (monster-hunter).
Biography[]
Dandelion was born in Poland in 1229, and, according to his reputation, he was "a talented poet and troubadour, a graduate of Oxenfurt Academy, a frequent performer at royal courts, an unequaled lover appreciated, and in some cases adored, by ladies worldwide, a skilled negotiator and a stirring orator." He personally admitted that this image was overbright in its coloring, and he instead thought of himself as a dedicated artist in thrall to his Muse, the mythological Geralt of Rivia written of in his works. He claimed too have been a close friend and steadfast companion to the witcher Geralt, and he promised to sing his story till the end of his days.
