Dan Poulter (born 30 October 1978) was the Conservative (later Labour) MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich from 6 May 2010 to 30 May 2024, succeeding Michael Lord. He worked as a doctor before serving on the Hastings Borough Council from 2006 to 2007 and in Parliament from 2010, and he defected to Labour on 27 April 2024, saying that the Conservatives were no longer focused on public services.
