Dan Jarvis

Dan Jarvis (born 30 November 1972) was the Labour Party MP for Barnsley Central from 3 March 2011, succeeding Eric Illsley.

Biography[]

Dan Jarvis was born in Nottingham, England in 1972, and he served as a British Army Major during the Kosovo War, the Iraq War, and the Afghanistan War. He resigned his commission in 2010 and was elected the Labour Party MP for Barnsley Central, and, in December 2015, he voted in favor of military intervention in the Syrian Civil War. In 2018, he was elected Mayor of Sheffield.
