Damalis

Damalis was a Corinthian hetaera during the 5th century BC.

Biography[]

Damalis was born in Corinth, Corinthia, and she became a hetaera and an associate of Anthousa during the 5th century BC. She found a frequent client in Lefteris Patras, a wealthy man, but, by 431 BC, she noticed that Lefteris was acting strangely, asking her about Anthousa and her sources of income. Damalis enlisted the help of the mercenary Kassandra in investigating, and she found out that the Cult of Kosmos had attempted to force Lefteris to bring Damalis to The Monger's sex dungeon at the Abron House in exchange for his life. Kassandra slew the caretaker, Lefteris Romanos, and she then told Damalis about the plot, and that Lefteris had been intimidated into attempting to betray her.
