Dagobert Schroder

Dagobert Schroder (1768-1837) was a colonel of the Austrian army during the Napoleonic Wars.

Biography[]

Dagobert Schroder was born in Gmunden, Austrian Empire in 1768, and he served in the wars with the Ottoman Empire and the First French Republic as a cavalryman. During the French Revolutionary Wars, he rose to the rank of colonel, commanding a regiment of cavalrymen during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 1800s. In 1805, he commanded the Austrian army at the Battle of Linz, during which Napoleon I destroyed Schroder's army in a decisive battle.
