The D'Alessio brothers was an Italian-American gang of bootleggers that operated out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the start of Prohibition. The brothers were Leo D'Alessio, Ignatius D'Alessio, Matteo D'Alessio, Pius D'Alessio, Lucien D'Alessio, and Sixtus D'Alessio, all of whom engaged in loansharking, burglary, armed robbery, and extortion. In 1920, they were forced to leave Philadelphia due to having fifteen outstanding arrest warrants, and they allied with bootlegger Mickey Doyle against Chalky White. The gang also allied with Arnold Rothstein and Lucky Luciano during their war against White's boss Enoch Thompson, and Thompson and White would exterminate the gang after making peace with Rothstein.
