Cutthroat Island was an uncharted island located to the northeast of Cuba that was famous for being home to a large treasure during the 17th century. The treasure had been looted from a Spanish galleon and had been hid on the island by the father of the pirates Black Harry, Dawg Brown, and Mordechai Adams, and Harry's daughter Morgan Adams succeeded in retrieving it after taking the map pieces from her father and uncles and killing Brown and his English allies in a ship battle in 1668.
