The Culta raid occurred in 2019 when a team of four American special forces operatives shot their way through Santa Blanca Cartel sicarios in the village of Culta and rescued the captured Kataris 26 fighter Waylla Callañaupa Amaru, who had information on Zapatero Gonzalez and Gloria Fernandez's whereabouts.
After defending a rebel radio transmission in Pantoja from Santa Blanca sicarios, Major Anthony Perryman received a call from Kataris 26 leader Pac Katari informing him that a captured rebel in Culta had information on Gonzalez and Fernandez's location. Perryman led his team of three men to rescue the imprisoned fighter from the cartel, and, in a repeat of a previous engagement, they cleared the village of Culta of sicarios who had burned the village to punish it for sheltering the captured fighter. Ultimately, they freed Callañaupa from the sicarios and learned that Gonzalez and Fernandez had moved to a hunting lodge before their slated meeting with Captain Arnaldo Fuentes.
