Cranford

Cranford is a suburban area located within the London borough of Hounslow in England. Named for the cranes who were present at a ford of the River Crane, Cranford was a small Anglo-Saxon settlement before the Norman Conquest of 1066. During the 13th century, Cranford was a major base for the Templar Order, who owned the main area of Cranford Park and House. Today, it is located 12.5 miles from Charing Cross and has developed with the building of major roads in the area.
