County Leitrim is a county of Ireland, located in the province of Connacht in the northern parts of the island. Carrick-on-Shannon is the county town of Leitrim, and the county had a population of 31,798 people in 2011. Due to its small population, it was statistically the fastest-growing coutny, as its population increased by 12.2% from 2002 to 2006.
