Count Hugues of Jaffa (1046-) was the Count of Jaffa under the Kingdom of Jerusalem. He was the brother of Godfrey de Bouillon and Baldwin I of Jerusalem.
Biography[]
Hugues was the bastard son of Count Eustache II of Boulogne, and he had no titles that would be inherited from his father. His brother Godfrey de Bouillon invited him to the Kingdom of Jerusalem on 26 June 1099, and Hugues was granted the County of Jaffa by his brother. Soon after, the Templar Order built castles in the county of Jaffa under Godfrey's supervision, helping them in their holy war against the Saracens.
