
Count Guilhem of Venaissin (11 February 1302-) was the Count of Comtat Venaissin from 2 May 1344, succeeding Count Gargamel of Venaissin.
Biography[]
Guilhem was born on 11 February 1302 to the House of Angouleme, and he became a priest under Pope Alexander V, serving as his court chaplain. He was granted the Comtat Venaissin by Pope Alexander after Count Gargamel of Venaissin's title was revoked, although he was hostile to Alexander and assisted in his murder.
