Constitutional Convention

The convention meeting in Philadelphia

The Constitutional Convention took place from 25 May to 17 September 1787 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. The convention was called to fix the Articles of Confederation, but the convention decided to create a new government instead, ratifying the US Constitution and forming a bicameral legislature divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. The convention was among the most significant events in US history, and the USA truly became united states and not a confederation.
