Conservative Party of Cuba

The Conservative Party was a conservative political party in Cuba that existed from 1902 to 1936. The party was one of two political entities that grew out of the Conservatives of Cuba faction, the other being the more liberal Moderate Party of Cuba. The Conservative and Moderate parties had similar views, but the Conservative Party advocated jingoistic foreign policy views, while the Moderates simply favored high military spending. In addition, the Moderates supported free trade, while the Conservative Party supported economic isolationism. The party was allied with the Conservatives, the Conservative Party, and the Royalists of Cuba during elections.
