Conor Lamb

Conor James Lamb (born 27 June 1984) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-PA 18) from 12 April 2018 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Tim Murphy and preceding Michael F. Doyle, and from PA 17 from 3 January 2019 to 3 January 2023, succeeding Keith Rothfus and preceding Chris Deluzio.

Biography[]

Conor James Lamb was born in Washington DC in 1984, and he served in the US Marine Corps on active duty from 2009 to 2013 and in the reserve from 2013, rising to the rank of Major. In 2014, he became an Assistant US Attorney in the Department of Justice's Pittsburgh office, and he tackled the opioid epidemic, violent crimes, and gun trafficking in Pennsylvania. In 2018, he won the special election to succeed the retiring Tim Murphy, defeating Republican Rick Saccone. In 2018, he defeated Republican incumbent Keith Rothfus to continue his House tenure as the representative from the redistricted 17th district. He retired in 2022 to run for US Senate, only to lose the primary to John Fetterman.
