Connacht is a province of Ireland, located in the west of the country. The province includes County Galway, County Leitrim, County Mayo, County Roscommon, and County Sligo, and the province had a population of 542,547 people in 2011; 10% of the population speaks Irish, making it the largest concentration of Irish-speakers in the country.
