The Compton Varrio 117 (CV117) is a Mexican-American street gang located on the East Side of Compton, California. Formed on 117th Street, between Compton Avenue and Wilmington Avenue, the gang also claimed the South Side, with their primary clique being the Parmelee Gangsters. They adopted the Sureño brand in the 1990s to show their affiliation with the Mexican Mafia prison gang, and they warred with the Carver Park Compton Crips and the Barrio 13 gangs.
