The Communist Party of Britain (CPB) is a communist political party in the United Kingdom which was founded in 1988. The party was founded by hardline members of the Communist Party of Great Britain in opposition to the Eurocommunist CPGB's impending dissolution, and the party supported the communist regimes of the Soviet Union, Cuba, China, Laos, and Vietnam. From 2006 to 2014, the party had over 900 members, and significant growth in the Young Communist League led to the CPB's membership growing to 1,214 in 2020. The party maintained branches in most major cities, and it was opposed to British membership in the European Union.
