Commander Norberto

Commander Norberto (died 7 November 1985) was a leader of the Colombian M-19 rebel group. In 1981, he was responsible for imprisoning the kidnapped Martha Ochoa, the sister of the wealthy Ochoa Brothers. Norberto suggested to Commander Leonel that they should release her, as he felt bad for her. In the end, he oversaw her safe release, and the M-19 rebels were advised to leave Medellin. He was killed while leading the Palace of Justice siege in 1985.
