Communism

The Comintern, formally Communist International, was an international group of communist parties that advocated world communism and the overthrow of the international bourgeoisie and the creation of an international Soviet republic on the road to abolishing the state. Formed on 2 March 1919 by Vladimir Lenin, its chief member was the Soviet Union, with its allies and puppet states being drawn towards the Comintern alliance, one of the three major alliances in the Interwar Years alongside the Allied Powers and Axis Powers. On 15 May 1943, Joseph Stalin had Comintern dissolved to appease his allies Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II so that he could prove that he was not fomenting communist revolutions in other countries.
