The Colombian Conservative Party was a conservative political party in Colombia that was founded on 4 October 1849. The party was formed in opposition to the Colombian Liberal Party, but the two parties formed an alliance after the overthrow of Gustavo Rojas Pinilla's regime in 1957. The party shared power with the Liberals for 16 years, and it then returned to opposing the Liberals. In 2016, the party held 28/166 House of Representatives seats, 18/102 Senate seats, and 2/32 gubernatorial seats.
