Colin Pickthall (born 13 September 1944) was the Labour MP for West Lancashire from 10 April 1992 to 11 April 2005, succeeding Ken Hind and preceding Rosie Cooper.
Biography[]
Colin Pickthall was born in Dalton-in-Furness, Lancashire, England in 1944, and he was a Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament activist and a school lecturer before being elected to the House of Commons in 1992 as the Labour MP for West Lancashire. He frequently campaigned about animal welfare and environmental issues, and he supported the hunting ban. He retired in 2005.
