Coenred of Northumbria (690-718) was King of Northumbria from 716 to 718, succeeding Osred I of Northumbria and preceding Osric of Northumbria.
Biography[]
Coenred was born in 690, the brother of the future King Ceolwulf of Northumbria. He inherited the throne from his kinsman Osred I of Northumbria on his death in battle with the Picts in 716, but Coenred was also a young and impetuous ruler. He died under unknown circumstances in 718.
