Clinkers in battle
The Clinkers were an English street gang based out of the Whitechapel district of London during the mid-19th century. By 1868, the Clinkers were the last independent gang in Whitechapel, as the rival Blighters had massacred or absorbed the other gangs. The gang fought in vain against the Blighters, and it welcomed Jacob and Evie Frye into their circle when they arrived in London to fight against the Blighters. The Clinkers would become loyal to the Frye twins, who took over Whitechapel from the Blighters before slaying Whitechapel Blighters gang leader Rexford Kaylock. After Kaylock's death, the Clinkers and some surviving Blighters merged to form the Rooks, which was led by the criminal-minded Jacob Frye.
