Clifton Greenhill was a US Army colonel who commanded the US 5th Cavalry Regiment during the Plains Indian Wars. In 1873, he led a punitive expedition against the Comanche in collaboration with the Texas Rangers, resulting in the killing of Chief Scar at the Battle of Seven Fingers in 1873.
