Clifford Mitchell Walker (4 July 1877-9 November 1954) was the Democratic Governor of Georgia from 30 June 1923 to 25 June 1927, succeeding Thomas W. Hardwick and preceding Lamartine Griffin Hardman.
Biography[]
Clifford Mitchell Walker was born in Monroe, Georgia in 1877, and he served as the state attorney general from 1915 to 1920 before winning the governorship of Georgia in 1922 with the support of the Klan, of which he was a member. He died in 1954.
