
Clifford Parker Robertson III (9 September 1923-10 September 2011) was an American actor. Born in San Diego, California, he served in the US Merchant Marine during World War II before becoming a lifelong member of the Actors Studio and becoming a television and film actor during the 1950s. In 1963, he portrayed a young John F. Kennedy in the film PT 109, and he won the 1968 Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Charly. Other roles included Buzz Aldrin, Richard Helms, Henry Ford, and Spider-Man's uncle, "Uncle Ben". He died in 2011 at the age of 88.
Robertson was an active Democrat, supporting Mo Udall during the 1976 Democratic presidential primaries.
