Cliff Norris

Cliff Norris (1851-1880) was an Australian rancher and employee in Marston Waters in Western Australia in the late 19th Century. In 1880, his boss Elliott Marston hired American sharpshooter Matthew Quigley, who refused to kill Australian aborigines as a job. That night, Quigley was beaten up by Marston's employees and taken in a wagon to the outback to left him and Cora Cobb to die alone in the desert. Days later he was hunting and killing aborigines with David Mullion, Danny Smythe and two other riders. Quigley shot him in the chest with his rifle and he fell off his horse dying.
