Cleopatra V Tryphaena (95 BC-57 BC) was Queen of Ptolemaic Egypt from 79 to 68 BC as the wife of Ptolemy XII Auletes.
Biography[]
Cleopatra was the daughter of Ptolemy IX Lathyros and an unknown concubine, and she married her half-brother Ptolemy XII Auletes in 79 BC. She was 20 years Ptolemy's junior, and she gave birth to Berenice IV, Cleopatra VI, Cleopatra VII, Ptolemy XIII, and Arsinoe IV. Cleopatra died in 57 BC.
