Claudia Maria was a Roman noblewoman during the 1st century BC. She was the former wife of Lucius Caius Marius, who was executed in 73 BC; that same year, she and Lady Helena Glabra were invited to join Marcus Publius Glabrus (her fiancee) and Marcus Licinius Crassus on a visit to Lentulus Batiatus' estate in Capua. She and Helena later chose some of Batiatus' slaves to perform a gladiatorial match for their amusement.
