Clarissa Gault Main (died April 1865) was the wife of Tillet Main and the matriarch of the Main family of Mont Royal Plantation, South Carolina. She was the mother of Cooper, Orry, Brett, and Ashton, and she was killed in April 1865 when former overseer Salem Jones and the former slave Cuffey attempted to loot the plantation at the end of the American Civil War. While trying to rescue Semiramis from Cuffey, Clarissa was thrown to the floor by Cuffey, and she broke her neck as a result.
