Clara Blaycock

Clara Blaycock (1874-) was an American bounty hunter of the Wild West. In 1898, she joined the Arizona Kid, a fellow protege of Samuel Horley, in meeting with the US Marshal Tom Davies at Manzanita Post in Texas, and they were assigned to join Lee Johansen in tracking down and killing the Del Lobo Gang leader Alfredo Montez. While Blaycock took a cautious approach to dealing with the Del Lobos and used a bow and arrow, Arizona used a bolt-action rifle. The two ultimately killed all of the outlaws between them and Montez's camp at Swadbass Point, and Johansen severed the gang leader's head and escaped back to Manzanita Post with Blaycock and Arizona's help. Once there, however, Davies concluded that they had accidentally killed Alfredo's brother Jorge Montez instead, so he gave them each a smaller payment than promised.
