The Civic Party is a social liberal political party in Hong Kong that was founded in 2006. The party platform was pro-democracy, universal suffrage, the rule of law, constitutionalism, civil liberties, equal opportunity, partnership with civil society groups, civic education, social cohesion, competition law, and minimum wage. In 2012, the Civic Party beat the Democratic Party of Hong Kong to become the largest pro-democracy party in the country, although it held just six seats.
