Cinaed of Abberdeon (853-878) was a Scottish nobleman who claimed the kingship of Pictland in 878. He raised a rebel army which backed his claim to the realm, but Aed mac Cinaeda met the rebel army in battle at the Battle of Abberdeon. Cinaed and most of his men were killed in the ensuing battle, while the remnants under Mael Doraid were hunted down and slaughtered shortly after.
