Christof Schaab was the State Attorney General of Hamburg, Germany during the 1960s. A veteran of the Waffen-SS' Siegfried Division, he was a close friend of General Günter Greifer and frequently attended division reunions. In November 1963, he turned journalist Peter Miller away when Miller demanded that his office reopen its investigation into Eduard Roschmann's death, and Miller berated him for only ever convicting three Waffen-SS privates of war crimes during the 13 years he had been in office.
