The Christian Social Party (CS) was a conservative and nationalist political party that existed in Austria from 1891 to 1934. The party had the goal of keeping Catholic Austria-Hungary independent from the Protestant German Empire, and the party's supporters followed political Catholicism and subscribed to anti-Semitism, populism, and corporatism. The Christian Social Party merged into the Fatherland Front (VF) in 1934, and the party was banned after the Anschluss with Nazi Germany in 1938. The party was not re-founded after the end of World War II due to its association with Austrofascism, so former CS members formed the Austrian People's Party (OVP).
