Chief Rehman of Pecheneg (born 1288) was the Chief of Pecheneg under the Golden Horde of the Mongol Empire from 1337.
Biography[]
Rehman was born in 1288 to the House of Rehmanov, a dynasty of Sunni Muslim Volga Tatars. Rehman was descended from the Bolghars, and he was enfeoffed with the Chiefdom of Pecheneg on the Volga River by Uzbek Khan in 1337 due to his noble descent. He married Chieftess Sara of Pecheneg and had a son, Malamir Rehmanov; he later took concubines Gundes, Cecki, and Khorijin from other Mongol princes. Rehman contributed troops for Uzbek's holy war against Novgorod that same year, staying loyal to his lord; however, he was ambitious and sought to become a major nobleman.
