Chief Ibrahim of Gojjam (21 November 774-) was the Chief of Gojjam under the Kingdom of Berbera.

Biography[]

Ibrahim was born on 21 November 774, the son of Yusuf of Berbera and Queen Fathia of Berbera. His father was Bedouin and his mother Somali, and he was an Afro-Arab. Ibrahim was betrothed to marry Sadiya bint Yazid in April 786 after her father Sheikh Yazid of Tarsos rescued Ibrahim's older brother Muhammad I of Berbera on the hajj, and on 5 July 786 he was granted the Chiefdom of Gojjam by his brother.
