Chief Elgin

Chief Elgin (born 1961) was a Staff Sergeant of the US Army during the Gulf War who later became a co-worker of Archie Gates as a military film consultant.

Biography[]

Chief Elgin was a devout Christian, believing that he was surrounded by a "ring of Jesus fire" while he was serving in the US Army in the Gulf War. He did not see any action, but when his comrades Troy Barlow and Conrad Vig found a treasure map in the butt of Iraqi Army officer Najeeb Mansour and Major Archie Gates found out about their secret, they set out to steal the gold from an Iraqi bunker at Karbala. They succeeded, but they engaged in a firefight with some Iraqi Republican Guard soldiers as they left, and they picked up some refugees that they had to take to the Iranian border. Barlow was captured, so Gates, Elgin, Vig, and some Shi'ite rebels set out for Oasis Bunker, where they rescued their friend. Vig was killed there, but Gates, Elgin, and Barlow escorted the refugees to the Iranian border successfully. Using some of the stolen gold, Elgin left his job at an airport and worked with Gates in the film industry.
