The Chichimec Gunners were units of the Chichimecs of Mexico.

The strange and powerful weapons that the Spaniards brought with them to the New World were initially met with fear. That was until the Chichimeca killed enough of the men with these "muskets" to learn their secrets. Chichimec Gunners were armed with captured Spanish muskets which far surpassed their bows in range and killing ability.
