Chico "Chi-Chi" Jiménez Verduzco (1956-1983) was a Montana Cartel lieutenant. He was the last of Tony Montana's henchmen to die during the mansion shootout in 1983.
Biography[]
Chico Jiménez Verduzco, who went by Chi-Chi during his life, was born in Cuba in 1956, and he befriended fellow Cuban exiles Tony Montana, Manny Ribera, and Angel Fernandez after arriving in Freedomtown, Miami following the Mariel boatlift of 1980. The quartet began to work for Frank Lopez in exchange for green cards, and Chi-Chi and Ribera saved Montana from a drug deal gone-wrong with Colombian drug lord Hector the Toad at the Sun Ray Hotel, although Fernandez was killed. Chi-Chi became Montana's number-three man, enjoying the prosperity that Montana achieved after his takeover of the Lopez Cartel from Lopez.
Death[]
In 1983, Montana rashly decided to go to war with Bolivian drug lord Alejandro Sosa, who was angered at Montana for betraying him by killing his hitman Alberto Ruiz instead of assassinating journalist Matos Gutierrez. Chi-Chi took part in the defense of Montana's mansion from the Sosa Cartel hitmen, and he fired at the hitmen with a submachine gun until he ran out of ammunition. He then slammed on Tony's door and begged him to let him in, as he had no more ammunition left. However, he was gunned down by Procopio Jáquez Estrada, and a cocaine-fuelled Montana, witnessing Chi-Chi's death on the security camera, realized that he was all alone, and that he had to take on the attackers by himself.
