Cheops (died 48 BC) was a Ptolemaic Egyptian army officer who was in command of the Coral Escarpment Camp in Siwa from 49 to 48 BC. He was known to be paranoid of ghosts and demons from the nearby Mountain of the Dead, and even his soldiers refused to patrol around the Amanai Hill, even when Cheops threatened to prohibit alcohol for a month. This allowed for bandits to take over the Amanai Cave, and Cheops was assassinated by the medjay Bayek during his infiltration of the camp in 48 BC.
