Charlie Riggs (1835-) was an American sheriff's deputy who lived in Tombstone, Arizona during the Wild West era. He served under Sheriff Clay Hollister during the 1880s. On 2 November 1881, his shooting of the troublesome cowboy Tully Brewster in self-defense led to the outlaw Sam Brewster threatening vengeance against Tombstone, causing Mayor Fred Donolon and saloon owner J. Homer Radcliffe calling for Riggs' resignation in what became a major political cleavage in Tombstone; however, Sheriff Hollister refused to let Riggs turn in his badge, as Riggs was his appointment and not the Mayor's.
