Charlie McCorry was an American settler in Texas and deputized Texas Ranger who served in the Texas-Indian Wars. He participated in Captain Samuel Johnston Clayton's search for the kidnapped daughters of Aaron Edwards in 1868 and, as Ethan Edwards and Martin Pawley continued the search in the ensuing years, McCorry romanced Pawley's girlfriend Laurie Jorgensen and became engaged to her in 1873. However, Pawley returned home in time to disrupt their wedding, and the dim-witted McCorry picked a fight with Pawley, ultimately putting an end to the wedding party.
