Charles of Dublin (1141-) was a Hiberno-Norman nobleman and member of the House of Normandy during the 12th century.

Biography[]

Charles de Normandie was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1141, the son of King Rufus the Honorable, who had recently conquered Ireland at the time of Charles' birth. Charles came of age in 1158 and was sent to serve as a governor in northern England; Charles was swift to judge, severe, and felt unappreciated, and he was passed over in the line of succession.
